KYLE A. BURKETT, ESQ.
Attorney at Law
Bio
Kyle A. Burkett, Esq. is an expert in music and entertainment law, and one of the few attorneys in Los Angeles who has lived every side of the industry he practices in: as a Billboard-charting executive producer and songwriter, as the founder and chief executive of a record label, and as counsel negotiating and enforcing the deals that drive the business.
A combat veteran of the U.S. Army's First Infantry Division, Kyle brings battle-tested discipline to high-stakes legal matters. He has successfully represented artists, producers, record labels, influencers, entertainment companies, veterans, and businesses in contract negotiations, intellectual property disputes, and complex business matters, and his firm delivers the full spectrum: contract negotiation, intellectual property protection, business structuring, VA benefits appeals, and corporate compliance.
Kyle earned his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law, completing his final two years as a visiting Juris Doctor student at Southwestern Law School, home of the nation's premier entertainment law program, where he concentrated in music and entertainment law and earned CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for the highest grades in Music Publishing (4.0), Copyright (3.9), Intellectual Property, and Legal Skills Practicum. He passed the California Bar Exam on his first attempt.
As a VA-accredited attorney and a veteran himself, Kyle fights for veterans nationwide on disability claims, appeals, and discharge upgrades. He knows the VA from both sides of the table: he has been the claimant and the counsel, and he has taken on the VA over his own education benefits and won.
Kyle is completing a Dual Master of Arts in Music Business and Music Production at Berklee College of Music and sits on the boards of KB Recording Group, Marison Construction, and the Nfinity Studios Joint Venture, an executive vantage point that means your lawyer understands the deal the way the other side of the table does.
At The Law Offices of Kyle A. Burkett, clients get an expert who has stood in studios, in uniform, and in the courtroom, and who treats every matter as the one that defines his reputation.
